Kalamkari Bangalore Silk Blue Dupatta
Large birds among curling flowering vines distinguish this blue Kalamkari Bangalore silk dupatta. Pink, yellow, red and teal blossoms spread across the bright blue ground, with green leaves connecting the densely arranged artwork.
Flowering stems and long-tailed birds
The hand-drawn and hand-painted composition combines rounded flower heads, small clustered blooms and pointed leaves. Near the end, a yellow bird with a red wing stands beside another bird with a broad, fanned tail in pink and yellow. Their larger forms interrupt the smaller floral pattern and give the end panel a clear focal point.
A cream band of red and yellow flowers crosses the end, followed by small hanging floral shapes against blue. Narrow blue edging frames the sides. Pair this colourful dupatta with a simple cream or blue kurta, allowing the birds and floral end to remain visible.
